Gridmatic Accelerates Broker Commissions From Sixty Days to Seven for Data Center Contracts
Built on Synota’s daily settlement platform, the offering pairs daily customer settlement with weekly broker payments
Houston, TX, November 3, 2026 – Gridmatic, an AI-driven power company, today announced a new offering that pays energy brokers weekly commissions for data center customers that use daily billing. Gridmatic offers this solution in conjunction with Synota, a financial technology platform enabling daily settlement for energy and compute contracts. The new offering addresses a persistent challenge in energy procurement: the gap between closing a deal and collecting the revenue earned from it.
Most brokers are paid monthly in arrears, often about 60 days after the power their commission is based on began delivery. That lag can leave brokerages covering their own operating costs while they wait to be paid on existing accounts. Getting paid sooner usually means accepting an upfront commission at a discount.
“When brokers bring us customers that pay daily, they shouldn’t have to wait two months or audit a statement to get paid,” said Jackson Vo, President of Gridmatic Retail. “We’re changing that with weekly commissions and transparent reporting that give our partners greater visibility and control.”
Brokers get a consolidated view of every account they have placed with Gridmatic, including usage, payment status and commissions earned to date. Brokers see the same figures Gridmatic sees, making it easier to track earnings and reducing the need to reconcile separate statements or request payment updates.
For Synota, the offering extends daily settlement beyond the supplier and customer to everyone who helps bring a contract together.
“Daily settlement was built to take the waiting out of energy payments, and brokers have been waiting longer than anyone,” said Austin Mitchell, CEO of Synota. “With Gridmatic, the same settlement that pays for the power now pays the broker who placed it, on a schedule that matches when the value is created. It’s a model we expect to see across the market.”
Vega Energy Advisors is the first broker to benefit from this offering.
“I’m not waiting two months to get paid anymore. I know what’s going to hit my account and when, and that cash flow is what I’m using to grow the business,” Scooter Womack, Founder and Managing Partner, Vega Energy Advisors.
